Welcome to Stockholm!

Dear Colleagues and Friends

I would like to welcome you to the 92nd Congress of the European Orthodontic Society which will take place between the 11th and the 16th June 2016 in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. It is a great honour to host this annual meeting of our orthodontic community, which links the traditions cherished and refined by past Presidents of the Society with the challenges of meeting the expectations of the younger members of our Society. I want to provide you with a scientific smorgasbord served at Stockholmsmässan, as well as social gatherings in some of the trademark venues of Stockholm.

The scientific programme will cover traditional orthodontic topics, as well as focusing on medically compromised patients and patients´ treatment experiences. You will listen to renowned keynote speakers representing many different fields of research, and I take it for granted that you will meet numerous old friends from all over the world and also have the opportunity to make new friends with many more.

Stockholm is at its very best in early June – you can enjoy the land of midnight sun and the trees blossoming in the parks and gardens of the city. The season is poetically expressed as “between bird cherries and lilacs”.

In Stockholm modernity meets tranquility. Trend-setting restaurants and vibrant nightclubs sit alongside idyllic archipelagos. Welcome to a city where it is easy to breathe – and to feel your pulse.
